My Top 5 Favorite Blogging Snacks

Around this time last year my idea of a snack was a soda and chips.  I'm so happy to say that I have been soda free for 4 months now and I've made way better snack choices!

I especially feel snacky when I'm blogging, yes I just used the term "feel snacky" and I thank my 5 year old for that.  Choosing healthier snack options while bloging could be difficult but I am sharing with you my top 5 favorite snacks to eat while I work.  They're not just for bloggers but they are approved by this blogger! ;)

Cheese & Grapes

The first time I tasted this snack combination I was in love!  It really pairs well together and I think you will love it too!  I use the Original Mini Baby Bell Cheese.  It's small and easy to pack up with the grapes and take it with you anywhere.

Pretzels

Pretzels are a great snack to have and it just so happens that my pretzels have a little chocolate on them.  The better choice, of course, would be the ones without chocolate but I like to treat myself every once in a while.  Still, regular pretzels are one of my go-to snacks and I usually have them ready in baggies so I can just grab and go.

Fruit

I love fruit!  My favorite mixture is strawberries, grapes and blueberries but apples, bananas and other fruits are great too.  Keep some in your fridge washed and ready to pack so it will be easy to pick this healthy snack over junk food.

Yogurt

This one is a great breakfast item but I also like eating it in between meals and while I'm in front of the computer.  I like putting blueberries and chopped strawberries in mine, along with the granola...Yum!!

Smoothie

I buy my smoothies because it's more convenient for me right now. My favorite is Green Machine from Naked.  Just like it says on the bottle...it looks weird but tastes amazing!  (And no I am in no way getting paid by Naked for this...I am seriously obsessed with their smoothies right now!)  But no matter if you make your own smoothie or buy them, I think they make the perfect snack since they are packed with fruits and veggies you drink instead of eat.

I don't know if you've noticed a theme here but all these snacks are great on the go and are ready to eat.  That is so important when picking healthier snacks to make it easier to choose them over junk food, like chips or chocolate bars.  You can also read this post on how I separate my snacks to have them ready for anyone to grab & go.

Another one of my favorite snacks is apples and peanut butter!  They taste so good together and the apples replace the crunch from the chips I crave so much.

What are some of your favorite healthier snack choices?

  6. I often have apples and peanut butter but my go to during my recent morning sickness has been Chobani's blueberry yogurt. So yummy (not too sweet) and settles my tummy right down. Also, applesauce. Love it!

  10. Healthier snacks would probably be ideal for me. I'm in the coffee or soda with caffeine stage. It's pretty bad.

  11. I blog full time and caught myself snacking non-stop at first. Now I try to keep water and trail mix or fruit by me - instead of chips or candy. Love your snack suggestions!

  12. I totally feel snacky when I blog too :) Congrats for being soda free for 4 months. It can be a hard habit to break. I am a fruit and veggie snacker. I love those Naked smoothies too. I usually will pick one up while I'm at Target shopping. It keeps me from eating something that I might regret. Thanks for sharing!

  14. I love all of these snacks and yes, the key to healthy snacking is having it all ready to grab and eat. My favorite is making nut and date balls on Sunday night to snack on throughout the week. They are delicious and you can add protein in to help keep you fuller longer!

  18. Good for you for being soda free and a healthier snacker! I am still working on being a healthy snacker, especially while blogging, I tend to just drink coffee and grab a protein bar every few hours.
