When I go on a road trip, I always pack a little grab bag full of entertainment items just for me! Everything that I can use to relax in the car and get me through the long drive is packed into this little bag.
Don't get me wrong, I love family time and the beautiful scenery out the window, but sometimes everyone just needs some alone time.
I usually have this bag packed two weeks before the trip so I have time to look for everything and have it together. I just simply pack it and put it aside till the day of the trip. Here are some of the things I pack.
I bought these for .25 each at my local library book store! They are last year's editions, but are brand new to me and look like they have never been touched!
I also picked this one up at the library for .50! I think they might have made a movie out of it.
Empty Spiral Notebook
Don't you just love a brand new journal? I do because I can fill it with new thoughts, ideas or notes from the trip.
Pictures are a must on a road trip! Don't forget the charger and computer cords, just in case.
For when I feel extra creative! They're fun and great for color coding things.
You never know when you will need them, so I take them in this plastic school supplies case.
If I need to write a quick note or mark my place in a book, these come in handy.
You never know when you're going to need one! Use them for dirty clothes, shoes, or even a trash bag when you don't have one. I always need one on a road trip.
I keep hotel booking information and other event tickets and info in a plastic sleeve. They stay protected and together. This will also be a good time to check up on reservations if you haven't already.
I usually also pack a puzzle book (crosswords or word search). Also, I do still take my purse with me and that holds the usual every day items like my chapstick, money, umbrella and other daily items.
