I Just Finished the 30 Day Neat & Tidy Challenge, Now What?
Congratulations on finishing up this Organizing challenge! You have accomplished so much in these past few months and it's time to take a step back and admire everything you have organized! Take a few pictures and post them to your wall. Show off those spaces you worked so hard on!
So, now what?
I'm going to let you in on a little secret, organizing is never over. There will be some things you are totally satisfied with and others that you just don't think are working out for you. My advice is this...
-Organize until you find something that works for you and your family. If you came up with a system during this challenge, but it's not working out then don't be afraid to change it and try something new. It might take a few tries, but having something that works for everyone will save lots of time!
-Don't be afraid to tweak even the things that do work for you. Nothing is ever perfect. I'm always trying to organize, simplify, beautify and make spaces feel like my very own.
-Keep up with what you have already done. So you finally organized that junk drawer, laundry room, desk or bookshelf! Don't ignore that space and have it end up like before. Go through all of your spaces once a week or month and get them back to looking like before.
-Relocate items! It's a given that things will end up in these spaces that do not belong. That's ok just as long as you put things back where they belong and don't let them pile up.
-Make sure everything has a home! This is what makes cleaning up so difficult, when we have items in a space they do not belong because they do not have their own place to go. These little homeless items need to move out and find a place of their own.
I hope these tips help you keep your spaces in tip top shape. I'd love to hear what you thought about this challenge or any suggestions for making it better. Please leave your comment below or you can post on the Team Neat & Tidy Facebook group here!
