30 Day Neat & Tidy Challenge: Day 27 - Junk Drawer

It's Friday!  This means you have the whole weekend to finish today's challenge!  We are almost done with these little challenges, so I know you can do it!  Today is day 27 of the 30 Day Neat & Tidy Challenge and we are tackling the Junk Drawer!

Here is what you need to do to complete this task.

-Go through the drawer and take everything out and throwing any trash away.

-Relocate items that do not belong in the drawer.

-Group like items together so they can be stored in the same place.

-Depending where the drawer is located will depend what you store in it.  If it's in the kitchen then you can turn it into a baking drawer or use it to hold pen, paper, scissors, small gadgets and other things you usually use in the kitchen.

-Find small boxes (like tissue boxes) to organize the drawer and separate it into categories.

You should have a nicely organized drawer when you are done!

I want to see pictures of your before and after junk drawers!  Post your pictures to the Facebook Group here where I will also be sharing my before and after photos or tag me in your pictures on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

  1. Well I just might need to jump in and start at the beginning. Looks like a very helpful challenge.

  2. I had never thought to use kleenex boxes before! That is such a great tip!

  3. I've never thought of using tissue boxes for drawer storage - that's really clever! Will have to try that when I tackle our on "utility drawer" (which is just me trying to find a justifiable name for a junk drawer).

  4. *looks everywhere except this blog post*

...I needed this one ;) I have one junk drawer plus a little rolly-cabinet that has two more junk drawers in it. Must tidy and organize them!

  5. This is a great idea, my junk drawer really needs to be sorted out right now!!!

  6. Sigh- this is my biggest challenge. I even have storage boxes, but everyone just throws stuff into the drawer instead of putting it away. I've got to get on it.
