It's a cold day today but perfect for staying inside and doing a little organizing! Today we are tackling our craft area for day 26 of our 30 Day Neat & Tidy Challenge
Here's all the steps you need to take to complete this task!
-Gather all your craft supplies together from around the house.
-Group like items together...washi tape with washi tape, scissors with scissors....you get the idea.
-Find a designated space for all your crafts. If you don't craft too often then under the bed or in a closet would be fine. If you do use these items a lot then out in the open would be a better choice so you can see everything you have.
-Find boxes, baskets, bowls, vases and other items around the house to store your craft supplies in. Clear bins would be ideal so you can see what you have, but if you use baskets or boxes then make sure they aren't too deep. You want to be able to find what you are looking for.
-Keep things you use often on top or in plain sight and store other things you don't use away. I use my washi tape and twine all the time so I keep those handy where I can see them.
-If you are lucky enough to have a whole craft room, then now would be a nice time to see if there's anything you can get rid of or use for your next project.
-Have you had those fabric scraps for 4 years already a really don't know what to do with them? Donate them! You can check retirement centers / homes or Adult daycares to see if they will take the items. Same goes for other craft items you don't use.
-Display your collection. Hang up shelves on the walls or a peg board to display all those buttons, spools, paints and ribbons. They will also add color!
However you organize your craft room, make sure it works for you.
