Reuse This Item for Jewelry!

I found a new jewelry organizer last week and it's just gorgeous!  It reminded me of the egg tray and clear tray I have in my nightstand to store some of my jewelry.

This tray didn't cost me much, in fact it might not cost you a thing when you find out what it's made out of!  Consider this the easiest DIY Jewelry Organizer project ever!

Yup, that's right!  My jewelry organizer is made out of a Ferrero chocolate box!  I actually bought this 15 count box for $6 over the holidays and gave them out individually.  Valentine's Day is coming up, so chances are some of you might be getting these too!

All you have to do to turn it into a jewelry tray is take it apart.

Then reassemble it by moving the bottom sheet to the top tray of the box, placing the gold part on top of that and leaving the bottom tray empty.

If you wanted to, you could also put some shelf liner on the tray.  I actually liked it clear and decided to keep these two side by side to make it look like once piece.  I just love how my jewelry looks in this!

I don't know if you remember this photo above from my Instagram?  It's one of my favorites!

What do you think about this little project?  Let me know in the comments!

  5. Clever and guilt-free! I once received a box of candy as a gift and felt so bad throwing the bunny - shaped container away. I don't own much jewelry but I do own button and safety pins! :) #bif

    1. Thank you Brenda. The ideas for reusing this container really are endless. You don't have to just store jewelry in them. I'm hoping to get my hands on a few more to see what I can come up with. =)
