Use Wrapping Paper Scraps for Storage

The Holiday season is upon us and along with it comes gifts and tons of wrapping paper!  With so many beautiful patterns and colors, wrapping paper could become a nuisance.  (Especially if you are like me and have a wrapping paper hording problem.)

One issue that most of us have is how to keep the roll closed when we are done using it so it can be easily stored.  Today I will show you my way of doing this!  It's really easy and costs nothing!

Here's a hint...don't throw your wrapping paper scraps away!  They are just the thing you need for storing!  All you do is simply take a piece of scrap wrapping paper, wrap it around the center of the roll and put a piece of tape to close it off.  Make sure you don't make it too tight around, just enough for it to easily slide off, but to where it doesn't fall off.

And Wallah!  You have your roll ready to be stored without worrying about it opening and getting crumbled.  I told you it was super easy!

Do you have another technique that you use for easy wrapping paper storage?  Let me know if the comments below!

  1. Awesome idea! I normally just use a rubber band but sometimes that tears the paper when I'm sliding it on or off of the roll. I'll be trying this trick ASAP! Thanks for sharing!!
