DIY Holiday Decor: Light Up Jar

Holiday decorating is in full swing at my house!  I'm so excited to be sharing some creative ways to decorate your home for the Holidays!  They are all simple, cute, low cost and the perfect way for you to DIY your way to the perfect Holiday this year!  So here is my first project for you.

I found this lovely jar at an estate sale for just $3!  You can't really tell from the pic, but this is a huge jar!  I loved the shape of it and the little handle it had.  It was love at first sight and I had the perfect project already lined up!

What you'll need for this super easy project is a jar, some Christmas lights (I bought the all white ones) and some ribbon.

I would take your lights out of the box (if they're new) and stretch them out before you start this project.  Otherwise they will just fall all the way to the bottom of the jar.  You want them to fill the jar up to the top.

Once you have you're lights in the perfect position, then you can move on to decorating the jar with a simple ribbon!  I just used a red one that I already had laying around.  The bow doesn't have to be extreme because the real beauty will be the jar lit up!

And doesn't it just look beautiful?  Actually, these pictures do not do this project justice!  It's even more beautiful at night lit up!

I have many more projects lined up for you, so stay tuned next week for more!
