My 3 year old daughter asked me to play in her room the other day, and of course I went to go do just that, but I got sidetracked. What she wanted to play was dress up and what sidetracked me was her hair accessory drawer was stuck. It was jam packed with bows and headbands and was just a hot hot mess! It looked a little something like this....
Yikes!! This mommy was on it! I first took everything out and separated it into categories like headbands, bows, clips and hairbands. I also took a few things out that did not belong at all. (I don't know when the last time she wore that white band was! She must have been a few months old with no hair.) I then searched my house for items I can use to organize and found a few small square snack bins. You can buy them in a pack of four at the dollar store or Walmart. They were the perfect size for her small clips and hairbands. I then found a round plastic kid's bowl. I thought this would be perfect for the smaller hair bow clips. It was also perfect to fit between all the headbands so they can wrap around it. This is what it looked like after.
Of course, it wasn't done without adding my shelf liner! Here is the final product organized and shelf lined.
Lovely! Now my little one won't have a hard time opening the drawer to get something out and everything will be organized to find what is needed! Let's look at those organized accessories a little closer.
How do you organized your little one's hair accessories?
