Wedding Thrift Store Finds!

Last week I told you my super exciting news about me getting married (which you can read here).  Well, I've been doing a little thrifting lately and found a few things to use as my wedding decor at my Local thrift store and cost me from $0.99-$4!  I think that's pretty good considering I went to an antique store the other day and saw some doilies about the size of my $0.99 ones and they cost $3 or more and the big ones were $10 or more!

The big lace fabrics will be my table tops and I'm planning on putting another color under the lace to make it pop.  I'm thinking a pail pink, but I'm still undecided.  I'm also planing to use some of the lace fabrics as other decorations.  Maybe even cut it up and make something out of it.

And check out this burlap sack I found for just $2!  I have some big plans for this burlap! I'm thinking of cutting strips out of it and using it for some candle holders.

I also found a bag with some old lace in it!  It's perfect for the centerpieces I'm planing on making.  Here's what I'm going to do.

I went to my local Library book store and found all these pretty hard covers for $1 each!  My husband loves literature, so I plan to incorporate that into our wedding by stacking 2 books on top of each other and tying them together with lace.  Then place a brooch in the center on top.  (I'm still on the hunt for some cheap brooches.)  But the lace tied books with be some of our centerpieces.

So, how's that for popping some tags?  =)  I can't wait to put all this together!  There's still more to show you, but I'll leave that for another post.
