I usually try to hide all my stuff in pretty boxes that you can't see what's inside, but I decided to take a different approach when it came to putting together an inspirational space. This may not be a huge space, but I needed it to hold lots of things that I need for crafts I do occasionally, things that will inspire me to do things that will better my life (such as eat healthy or get organized) and anything that will inspire me stay on top of the household chores.
I started with the fruit tower stand on the left. I thought it was perfect for holding my pens, pencils highlighters, hole punchers and other little craft objects that I like to use. I'm not quite done with it yet, but I think so far it's looking good. I was able to find the little buckets in the Target dollar section for just $1!
I placed a magazine holder and only left magazines that will reflect the kind of space I'm creating, so I have some health & fitness magazines as well as some organizational and home ones too. The binder to the right of the magazines holds my monthly & weekly calendars for the year, tools I use to plan my meals and shopping lists and a few pages to keep me inspired to stay healthy and exercise. I even have a weight loss tracker included. I wanted these tools out in the open so I will remember to look at them often and work more towards my goals I'm trying to reach for this year.
I also have a small clipboard hanging that also helps me plan my day and meals, but I might be removing it when I've decided what to do with the wall. I have an idea, but it's just a matter of finding everything I need.
And then we have this lovely section . . . .
This is probably my favorite part of the whole table! It's where I keep my washi tape and bakers twine on display in clear view. And don't you think all the colors look beautiful displayed this way? I added a little bird lamp to go with the decor and leave a little glow over the table at night.
So, there it is! I love this space I've created to get me inspired about my goals! What do you think of this space? Do you have an inspirational space that helps you stay on top of things?
