Can You Guess What This Is?

If you follow me on Facebook then you saw this picture I posted of the latest project I had been working on.  It didn't really turn out the way I had planed, but I think it turned out better than my original idea.  Here is what I ended up making....

...A Christmas wreath for my little girl's room!   The cones are all made out of scrap book paper and everything was super simple to make.  I originally wanted to make the cones into a Christmas Tree banner to hang in her room, but as I was stringing them, I noticed they looked pretty side by side and decided to make a wreath halfway through.  Funny how one great idea turns into another one!  I'm working on the How-To post so you can have all the step by step directions.  I'll hopefully have it posted by sometime this weekend.

And here is the wreath next to Emma's owl Christmas tree! =)

What I really love about this wreath is how light weight it is, so I won't have to worry about it falling and making a loud sound in the middle of the night while she's sleeping or hurting her if she's around.  Emma helped me put it together too.  She's just 2 years old, but she sure does know how to hand me the next paper to cut or fold. =)   And the best part for me is now we have memories of something we have made together and it cost me nothing out of pocket.  Everything I used I already had around the house!

This is an awesome project to make with your kids and you can even have them draw Christmas pictures on the paper and color them so they can have their own creations made into a beautiful Christmas wreath!

What do you think about this simple Christmas wreath?
